Etymology: "Da der thätige und tüchtige Obergärtner am hiesigen Botanischen Garten, Herr Ender, dieses Pittosporum in einem andern Garten in Blüthe fand und mir solches zur Bestimmung übergab , so widme ich demselben diese Art."
