The names Triticum capense Spreng., Uniola capensis (Spreng.) Trin. and Brizopyrum capense (Spreng.) Trin. were treated as nom. superfl. by H.P.Linder, Fl. Australia 44B: 37 (2005). The epithets used were not correct and the names are therefore illegitimate, however they are not nomenclaturally superfluous. The authorships cited by Linder are thus attributed incorrectly.
