Robert Brown's original spelling was G. coerulea, which was adopted by many authors, including Carolin (1990). Others, including Bentham (1868) and Carolin (1992) adopted the spelling G. caerulea. The original spelling is correct, frequently used in other contexts (although less frequently than caerulea), and there seems no justification to 'correct' it.
