- APC Comment
- A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 59 (1991) lists "Acacia longifolia var. floribunda Maiden, nom. illeg.". This is based on a casual reference in a book on the tanning properties of wattle bark. The name A. longifolia var. floribunda (Vent.) Benth. was already available and in use, Maiden referred to Bentham's Flora Australiensis, and there is no indication that he intended other than to use existing nomenclature.
