APC Comment
The name Helichrysum leptolepis DC. was published twice in the same work (Prodr. 6: 170, 194 (1838)), for taxa from Madagascar and Australia, respectively. The Madagascan taxon was given a replacement name, Helichrysum candolleanum H.Buek (Gen. Sp. & Syn. Candolleana 2: vi (1840)), and the name for the Australian taxon is therefore legitimate (contra A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 1555 (1991)).
