- Occasional intergrades between the subspecies are recorded (Chambers & Farrant, 1998). Chambers & Farrant, 1991, 1998) considered that, contrary to Green (1988), P. humilis and C. sieberi were not conspecific, and that P. humilis and C. humilis were to be referred to C. tenuifolia. In Flora of Australia 48: 274, 278 (1998) P. humilis Forst. was both incorrectly placed in the synonymy of C. sieberi, and correctly in C. tenuifolia. P.S.Green (1994) did not use subspecies rank in this species for LHI and NI populations, but implied that they belonged in subsp. sieberi.
