The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Showing Callitris ventenatii
-
Text: "Nom. inval., name only, in synonymy." -
Comment: Hill attributes this name to C.F.B. de Mirbel, Mém. Mus. Hist. Nat. 13: 74 (1825). Mirbel lists "Frenela Ventenatii. Br. sub. Callitri" but does not provide any reference to a publication by Brown and does not definitely associate the genus name Callitris with the species epithet as required by ICN Art. 35.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018). Hill’s publication is thus here treated as the primary reference for this designation.
