The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Text:"J'ai cru pouvoir, au moins provisoirement, changer son nom spécifique de micrantha, qui n'aurait plus de signification dans le genre Cucumis, pour y substituer celui de l'habile et zélé botaniste qui l'a découverte en Australie."
Comment:nom. illeg., nom. superfl. as the epithet micrantha was available in Cucumis in 1859 and thus ought to have been adopted by Naudin (ICN Art. 11.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018)).
