Drakaea huntiana F.Muell. , legitimate scientific apni Mueller, F.J.H. von (1889), Description of a new form of the orchid genus Drakaea, indigenous to New South Wales and Victoria. The Victorian Naturalist 5(12): 174-175 [tax. nov.]
  • Type: "Between loose stones on Mount Tingiringi, at an elevation of about 5,000 feet (W. Baeuerlen)."
  • Etymology: "On this evidently rare and autumnal-flowering Drakaea has been bestowed the name of Robt. Hunt, Esq., C.M.G., F.G.S., Master of the Sydney-Mint and Vice-President of the Committee of the Technological Museum there, in recognition, however inadequate, of his favouring for a long while the collecting journeys of the discoverer of this plant."
