Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Lectotype:"pro parte min. ... 'N Hollandiae ora meridionali', R. Brown s.n. (lectotype BM! here designated); Syntype: 'in sinu Regis Georgii', F.Bauer s.n. (illust. sheet marked (5) K-L!)"
Comment:M.A.Clements, Austral. Orchid Res. 1: 94, 95 (1989), split this taxon into two parts, placing one part (pro parte max.) under M. arenaria Lindley and the other (pro parte min.) under M. pulchella R.Br.; he then wrongly lectotypified both parts.
