Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Lectotype:"Probably Kangaroo Island, S.A., W. Baxter; K (fruiting specimen on sheet stamped Herbarium Hookerianum 1867). Para-lectotype: K – flowering specimens."
Comment:'Erroneously considered a Western Australian species by G. Bentham, Fl. Austral. 2: 354 (1864). The two Drummond specimens cited by Bentham under A. triquetra are A. meisneri.'
APC Comment:Records from WA cited by Bentham (1864) are A. meisneri. Putative hybrids between A. triquetra and A. microcarpa are known from Eyre Peninsula, SA (Maslin in Flora of Australia 11A: 587 (2001)). Putative hybrids are recorded between A. paradoxa and A. triquetra in SA (Whibley & Symon in Acacias of South Australia (1992); Maslin, 2001).
