The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Comment:Stafleu & Cowan, Tax. Lit. ed. 2, 1: 51 (1976) give the author as "probably ... John Kennedy", but as there is no such indication in the work itself, Andrews has been accepted here as the author.
Lectotype:"This species of Pultenaea was introduced, from New Holland, about the year 1792, by Messrs. Lee and Kennedy, Hammersmith ... Our drawing was made from a plant in the Hibbertian Collection ...." Type specimens: unknown; lecto, here chosen: the plate."
