Comment: Bentham lists several series names in his treatment of Acacia but gives no reference to basionyms for these. However, many of the series epithets correspond with the unranked groups first described by Bentham, London J. Bot. 1 (1842), and Bentham refers to "the three occasions when I have gone through the genus in detail". The series name is here treated as a new combination under Art. 41.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
