Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Lectotype:"AUSTRALIA: Queensland, Burke District, between Norman and Gilbert rivers, [1874], T.Gulliver s.n. [21] (firststep lecto, designated by C. E. Hubbard, Hooker’s Icon. Pl. 34: 12, t. 3312 (1936; no herbarium indicated): second-step lecto, designated here: K 000907194 [image seen (JSTOR 2019)]; iso: K 000907194 [image seen (JSTOR 2019)], NSW 557738!)."
Text:"Hubbard (1936) cited the type of the name Ectrosia
leporina var. micrantha as ‘between Norman and Gilbert rivers, Gulliver s.n. (type), 21’, but did not specify a herbarium where the type is held. This is here treated as effective lectotypification by Hubbard, in accordance with ICN Art. 7.11 (Turland et al. 2018). Original mater[i]al of this name is held at K and NSW, and second-step lectotypification is, hereby, effected, in accordance with ICN Art. 9.17. "
Text:"The above citation is incorrect in citing the same K number (K000907194) for both the lectotype and the K isolectotype. The correct sheet number for the lectotype is K000907195, it is the only one to have the collection number ‘21’ on the accompanying “Government Botanist, Melbourne” label. The correction is allowed as per ICN Art. 9.2."
