Text: "One of the specimens of Hibbertia avonensis was recognised as distinct over 70 years ago by C.A. Gardner who annotated a specimen (Gardner 671a) by the manuscript name "Hibbertia gracilipes var. tamminensis Gardner" with a short Latin diagnosis dated 19 December 1929 and a note saying "Form of H. gracilipes or a new species". However I can find no publication of this name."
