Comment: Jackson refers to "Panz. in Denkschr. Akad. Muench. 1813 (1814) 296". While Panzer indicates the combination it is not made therein because he does not definitely associate the genus and species name (ICBN Art. 33.1 (Vienna Code, 2006)). Jackson lists Tragus pratensis as a synonym of Festuca elatior but with an indication of doubt, so the combination T. pratensis is here considered to be validly made by Jackson.
