APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Text:"Nooteboom (1997) cited the type of the name Drynaria maxima as ‘Type: US Expl. Exp. 17 (K), Tahiti’. This is here treated as effective lectotypification by Nooteboom, in accordance with ICN Art. 7.11 (Turland et al. 2018). Bostock and Spokes (1998b, p. 481) repeated Nooteboom’s citation of the specimen at K as the ‘holo’."
