The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Text:"Fischer (1932) listed specimens housed atLDthat were collected by J. G.König and used by A. J. Retzius in preparation of his Observationes Botanicae. Fischer (p. 50) stated ‘in the list the type specimens are shown in thicker type’. Diplazium esculentum (Retz.) Sw. is listed on p. 75 in bold type, with the statement ‘the type, described as Hemionitis esculenta Retz.,
Obs. vi. 38’. This is here treated as effective lectotypification by Fischer, in accordance with ICN Art. 7.11 (Turland et al. 2018)."
