The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. APC Comment:K.W.Braid, Bull. Misc. Inform. Kew 1925: 2-3 (1925) and A.R.Bean, Muelleria 28(1): 8 (2010) record Robert Brown's manuscript name for this taxon, Caenothoides obtusifolia (correctly spelled "Ceanothoides").
