  • Type: E6 [Garimbu Creek] Prince Regent River Reserve, Gardner District, Western Australia, 15 deg 28 min S, 125 deg 29 min E, 19 August 1974, K.F. Kenneally 2080 (holo: PERTH 02796856).
  • Etymology: Named after Charles A. Gardner (1896-1970), Western Australian government botanist, who made the first collection of this species.
