The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Showing Dryandra pseudoplumosa

Type: 17 km E of Red Gum Pass turnoff on Salt River Rd, Stirling Range National Park, Western Australia, 25 November 1986, M. Pieroni 26 (holo: PERTH 04225856; iso: CANB, NSW, PERTH 04225864). [Type collection should read "M.Pieroni s.n.". M. Pieroni 26 is a different taxon (Verticordia, collected October 1986). R. Rees (PERTH, pers. comm. July 2013), corroborated that the jewellers tag on the holotype at PERTH reads "sp. No 26 aff. plumose." The number 26 on the tag refers to an informal "species number" and not a collection number.]

Etymology: "The epithet is derived from the name of the nearest relative D. plumosa with the suffix pseudo- to indicate its close resemblance without being the same."
