  • Type: "Western Australia, Millbrook Road, c. 5 km E of Albany Highway, in peaty sand on the margins of swamps, A.Lowrie 87/025, 7/10/87 (holotypus PERTH)."
  • Etymology: "This taxon is named in honour of Steve Rose, prospector, photographer and enthusiast of native carnivorous plants and orchids, who has devoted countless hours over many seasons to field studies of pygmy Drosera."
