Etymology: "From the genus Manglesia, a name published by Endlicher in 1839 but which Meissner transferred to Grevillea in 1845, and Greek, -oides, similar to. The name Manglesia is still used for a section of the genus Grevillea and Meissner was referring to the resemblance of this species to that group."
