Chapman refers to P.F.A.Ascherson & P.Graebner in P.F.A.Ascherson & K.R.O.P.P.Graebner (eds), Syn. Mitteleur. Fl. 2 (2): 99 (1904), but the listing of Australia refers to the distribution of the species Carex goodenowii.
