Orchidaceae Juss.
Prasophyllum tepperi F.Muell. ex Tepper , legitimate scientific apni Tepper, J.G.O. (1880), On the characteristics and distribution of the native and naturalised plants about Ardrossan, Yorke's Peninsula. Transactions, proceedings and report, Royal Society of South Australia 3: 32-33, 43 [tax. nov.]
  • Type: (not cited)
  • Etymology: "Only one new species has as yet been discovered by me, viz., a small Orchid, in respect of which Baron F. v. Mueller, has done me the honour of naming it Prasophyllum Tepperi."
  • Comment: Tepper ascribes the name to F.Muell on. p. 43 as "Prasophyllum Tepperi, F. M. (spec. nov.)." but on pp. 32-33 the brief validating description is apparently written by Tepper himself. Authorship of this name is thus here accepted as F.Muell. ex Tepper under ICN Art. 46.2 (Melbourne Code, 2012).
