  • Text: "Forster (1990: 285) [i.e. P.I. Forster, Austrobaileya 3(2): 285 (1990)] selected the material in BM as the lectotype for Marsdenia velutina Brown. However, the material in BM consists of two specimens that are not unambiguously identifiable as parts of the same gathering according to ICN, Art. 8.3. Therefore, a second step lectotypification, selecting [BM001040538], the richer of the two specimens, is carried out here."
