Comment: Eunotia pectinalis var. minor f. impressa (O.Muller) Ant.Mayer is the first use of this epithet at this rank. There is a later homonym Eunotia pectinalis var. minor f. impressa (Ehrenb.) Hust. which is considered a valid taxon. It is unclear from Foged 1978 who first used this name in the context of the Australian flora as to which name he was refering to since Foged (1978) used the trinomial Eunotia pectinalis f. impressa Krasske. -
