Type locality: Holotype: NSW A009860, southwest side of Split Solitary Island (30°14'S; 153°11'E), New South wales, Australia (R.L. Millar, A.J.K. Millar & P.G. Richards, 31.viii.1990, 17m depth, epiphytic on Pacymenia prostrata J. Agardh). The holotype consists of male, female, and tetrasporangial specimens on a fragment of the basiphyte, as individual plants pressed separately and as prepared microscope whole-mount slides. -
