Comment: Silva & Lipkin 2002 Nova Hedwigia 75:25 have separated G. capitata from G. intricata. Specimens will need to be examined in the light of this new taxonomy. Millar & Prud’homme van Reine 2005 Phycologia 44:538 appear to follow Dawson (1954) with respect to these two taxa. Prud'homme van Reine & Trono 2001 'Plant resources of SE Asia No 15 Cryptogamia Algae ' p. 124 place this taxon in Ceratodictyon. This change is not generally followed. -
