Comment: Gracilaria ramulosa J.G. Agardh is a later homonym of Gracilaria ramulosa (Martius) Greville. Agardh cites Gracilaria ? sp. Harv. Syn. n:o 426 ie Harvey 1863 Phycologia australica V: synopsis no. 426. Withell et al 1994 Aust Syst Bot 7:288, 42 indicate that this name is synonymous with Gracilaria dura.
