Comment:When first proposed by J. Agardh this name was a later homonym of T. australasica (Kuetzing) Sonder. T. australasica (Kuetzing) Sond. is a synonym of Spatoglossum australasicum Kuetzing.
Comment:One of Sonder's specimens MEL 17077 (Cape Upstart) is Spatoglossum macrodontum.
