Type locality: Holotypus: MELU, K10,470 (Fig. 2), the holotype (a spermatangial plant) collected with tetrasporic and cystocarpic isotypes (Figs 3, 4) at 10-15 m depths growing on Dictyota divaricata Lamouroux, Codium extricatum Silva, Amansia sp. and limestone substrata by G. Kraft and A. Millar on 31 January 1982. Type locality: South Passage, Lord Howe Island, NSW (Fig. 1). -
