Type locality: Holotype: MELU 24107 (Fig. 90). Type Locality: One Tree Island (23°30'S; 152°05'E), Great Barrier Reef, Qld. The cystocarpic holotype and tetrasporic isotypes (MELU 24108, 24109) collected by A.W.D. Larkum on 8 October 1975 at 35m depth at the 'Keyhole'.
