  • Comment: nom. illeg., nom. superfl. as the name Polypodium attenuatum R.Br., nom. illeg., had been replaced in 1826 by Polypodium brownii Wikstr. The epithet brownii was available in Dictyopteris in 1836 and thus ought to have been adopted by Presl (ICN Art. 11.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018)).
