  • Type: "A native of the colony of Port Jackson, "inhabiting dark, shady woods upon the rivers and immediate coast of New South Wales". It has also been observed within the tropic, according to Mr. ALLAN CUNNINGHAM, by whom it was introduced to Kew in 1824, and was thence communicated to us by Mr. AITON."
