Caladenia radialis R.S.Rogers, legitimate, scientific secondary reference apni
George, A.S. (5 May 1971), A check list of the Orchidaceae of Western Australia. Nuytsia 1(2): 176 [secondary reference] BHL
  • Lectotype: "Dowerin, E.H. Ising, Sept. 1, 1926 - lecto.: AD; Beverley, F. Stoward, Sept. 13, 1913 - not seen.
taxonomic synonym: Caladenia bicolor R.S.Rogers legitimate
  • Text: "The only notable difference between the original descriptions of C. radialis and C. bicolor is the absence of glands at the base of the column in radialis and their presence in bicolor. This is a variable character, insufficient to maintain the two species separately. The type of radialis does in fact have two small glands on the column. The margins of the labellum may be shortly dentate or entire, and the calli vary in number and robustness."
