The orthography of the species epithet is contentious. It was originally given masculine gender (australasicus) but has been treated as feminine by some authors (australasica). Art. 62.2 rules that it should take the gender of the last word, but -spadix can be either masculine or feminine. In this case Art. 62.1 (final sentence) prevails.
