Callista affinis is listed in synonymy of Dendrobium affine R.Br. by A.W.Dockrill, Austral. Indig. Orchids 2nd edn, 2: 596 (1993). Dendrobium affine is now considered to have been misapplied to Dendrobium dicuphum F.Muell. in Australia.
