The name "Caladenia hoffmanii subsp. hoffmanii" is listed by N.Hoffman & A.Brown, Orchids South-West Australia 2nd edn, 124 (1992); N.Hoffman & A.Brown, Orchids South-West Australia 2nd edn (rev.), 124 (1998) and by G.Paczkowska & A.R.Chapman, W. Austral. Fl. Desc. Cat. 79 (2000). However, this autonym was not established until the publication of infraspecific taxa by S.D.Hopper & A.P.Brown, Nuytsia 14(1/2): 92 (2001), in accordance with ICN Art. 26.3 (Melbourne Code, 2012).
