W.R.Barker et al., Census S. Austral. Vascular Pl. 45, 213 (2005) list the name "Amaranthus macrocarpus subsp. macrocarpus" as a synonym of A. macrocarpus, but this name does not exist as no other infraspecific names have been published at this rank within this taxon.
