This taxon has been listed as occurring in WA by some authors, e.g. C.A.Gardner, Enum. Pl. Austral. Occid. 5 (1930), J.Thompson, Contr. New South Wales Natl. Herb., Fl. Ser. 16: 79 (1961), J.S.Beard, Descr. Cat. W. Austral. Pl. 6 (1970), J.W.Green, Census Vascular Pl. W. Australia 1st edn, 6 (1985), J.W.Green, Census Vascular Pl. W. Australia 3rd edn, 6 (1986) and B.J.Conn & H.I.Aston, Fl. Victoria 2: 140 (1994). However, these records are not supported by specimens, and it is not clear to which taxon the name may have been misapplied (T.D.Macfarlane pers. comm., 2008).
