Pedley (2004) claimed an earlier date of publication of publication for A. fauntleroyi Maiden, in J. & Proc. Roy. Soc. New South Wales 53: 194 (1920). This is incorrect. The taxon was described as A. oncinophylla var. fauntleroyi by Maiden, J. Proc. Roy. Soc. New South Wales 53: 214 (1920), and raised to species rank by Maiden & Blakely (1928).
