The name "Acacia decipiens (K.D.Koenig) R.Br." was cited in the Flora of Australia 11A: 498 (2001) as a misapplication to Acacia truncata by E.G.Steudel, Nomencl. Bot. 1:2 (1821). It is in fact an illegitimate superfluous recombination by Steudel, based on Koenig's illegitimate Mimosa decipiens and including Adiantum truncatum as a synonym. It should be cited as Acacia decipiens Steud., nom. illeg., nom. superfl.
