- A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2165 (1991) indicates that Panicum fulgidum Hughes is “nom. illeg. non Stapf (1820)”. This is presumably a reference to Panicum fulgens Stapf (1920), but this does not render Hughes’ name illegitimate.
