- Isolepis cernua var. cernua and Isolepis cernua var. setiformis are recognised as distinct taxa in WA and Vic. A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2607 (1991) stated that Poiret did not validly make the combination Scirpus riparius. However, under Article 33.1 of the 2006 (Vienna) edition of the ICBN, this name is considered to be validly published.The name Scirpus arenarius Benth. var. arenarius is listed by A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2602 (1991), but this autonym does not exist, in accordance with ICBN Art. 27.2 (Vienna Code) (2006).
