Hybrids between Eucalyptus coolabah and E. largiflorens are recorded (K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson, Telopea 5: 770 (1994)), and hybrids are known in Qld between E. largiflorens and E. populnea (R.J.F.Henderson, Names Dist. Qld Pl., Algae & Lichens 125 (2002)). A reputed hybrid between E. camaldulensis and E. largiflorens is the basis for E. oxypoma Blakely (L.D.Pryor & L.A.S.Johnson, A Classification of the Eucalypts 83 (1971)).
