Name Index 544, 1993 (1991), list both "Callistemon semperflorens Lodd." and "Metrosideros semperflorens Lodd." with the same reference (Bot. Cab. 6: t.523 (1821)), however, the name Callistemon semperflorens does not appear on the plate, in the text or in the index to the work. Treated as Melaleuca citrina in Qld and ACT.
