Natural hybrids between A. mangium and A. polystachya are recorded (Fl. Austral. 11B: 172 (2001)). Hybrids between A. mangium and A. auriculiformis are widely used in pulp wood and saw log plantations in SE Asia (Fl. Austral. 11B: 172 (2001)).
