A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 1010 (1991) records Dimetopia eriocarpa F.Muell. ex Klatt as "nom. illeg., non F.Muell. (1855)". However, Klatt (Linnaea 29(6): 707 (1859)) clearly refers to Mueller and this publication is thus treated here as a secondary reference.
