P.S.Green (1994). doubtfully recorded this species from Norfolk Island by W.J.Hooker (1858) and Bentham (1878), probably based on an alleged record of Allosorus rotundifolius from there by Kunze (1850). He thought it was probably based on a misunderstanding of the source (NZ) of Cunningham specimens. De Lange et al. (2005) report a recent collection from NI, confirming the older record.
